Finally i've made the wallpaper created enterely from scratch using only GIMP sources and 2D, nothing of 3D.
I have seen so many WP following that style, and almost all made with photoshop, so now i'm trying to create one in GIMP.
Any suggestion would be really appreciate!

uhm... I don't usually (in fact never) critique anyone's work as I'm definitely an amateur artist so the following is only because you **asked** for suggestions:
Even as an amateur *I* noticed that you have your light source coming from three different directions. For the sphere to the top left, the light source is coming from the left. For the sphere to the bottom right, the light source is coming from the right. For the ringed sphere it's coming from the bottom. So your light sources/shadows don't match, making it unrealistic. (If you *wanted* to make it unrealistic then disregard this completely, as you achieved your goal.) You may also could have made some blank space as not all of space is covered with stars or astral dust. After filling your layer(s) with stars and dust, you could have taken your eraser and just erased randomly a few places to give it some empty zones. Other than that I think it's a great piece! Great job!!
